All Blacks v Australia

Sat 27 Aug 2016

Attendance:  35215

All Blacks: 29
Australia: 9

For the second week in succession New Zealand have put Australia to the sword, winning 29-9 at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on Saturday to retain the famous symbol of trans-Tasman test rugby supremacy.

An Israel Dagg brace and other tries to Julian Savea and Sam Cane secured them a 29-9 win and another year as Bledisloe Cup holders. Australia might not have come to play, but they were definitely vigorous and made it a far different assignment for the All Blacks than the previous Saturday's 42-8 romp in Sydney.

New Zealand 29 (Israel Dagg 2, Julian Savea, Sam Cane tries; Beauden Barrett 3 con, pen) Australia 9 (Bernard Foley 2 pen, Reece Hodge pen). HT: 15-9.

Event Information

Trans-Tasman rivalry returns to Westpac Stadium on August 27 with the second Investec Rugby Championship match in what will no doubt be a decisive battle for rugby supremacy.

A week after opening the Investec Rugby Championship in Sydney, the Bledisloe Cup will be on the line in Wellington in game two of the annual three-match series.

It’s been three years since the All Blacks played Australia in New Zealand’s Capital, and the rivalry is as fierce as ever.

A spectacular battle will take place on our Stadium walls prior to the epic battle on the field. The Taniwha v Wallaby multi-media event will run from 5.30pm until 7.15pm >> #WellyTaniwha

To help you get through our turnstiles with ease, here are a few handy tips regarding ticket preparation. If using a mobile ticket please have the bar code visible and ready for scanning, screen turned up bright, no cracked screens, and hold your phone steady under the scanner.  If you have a group of tickets, please share each ticket to the individuals within your group, if at all possible, as we experience significant holdups with groups having all their tickets on one phone.

If you have an ezyTicket, check the folding instructions and please prepare your ticket prior to arrival as it can be difficult to do this in the wind.
