Vodafone Warriors to face the Sharks in Wellington on 19 July

The Vodafone Warriors have today announced their 2019 NRL schedule including a special home fixture in Wellington against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in round 18 on Friday, July 19 (kick-off 8.00pm).

The Wellington game at Westpac Stadium will be the Vodafone Warriors’ only home game for the season played outside Auckland but still based in New Zealand. They are also taking a “home” game against the Dragons to Brisbane as part of the NRL’s Magic Round in May.

“There’s so much to be excited about now the draw is out and we know exactly who we’ll be playing each week, when we’ll be playing and where we’ll be playing,” said Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George.

“Wellington rugby league fans will be in for a great game in July when we take on the Sharks. The Sharks were NRL Premiers in 2016 and always put up a good challenge on the field, so we look forward to having some strong home support when we face them in the capital.”
